The God Everywhere Photography Adventure is an opportunity to explore the world around us with open eyes and open hearts. The goal is to capture images that express our feelings and find God all around us.
Can God be found in a lonely dark corner? Is God present in a child’s eyes? Is God present in the sadness of the world around us? Is He on the street corner? Is God present in your home?
Share your adventure with us. Let your pictures speak your heart and don’t feel like you have anything to prove. Approach the God Everywhere Photography Adventure with a prayerful heart and it’s impossible to fail. Just bring your faith even if it’s as small as a mustard seed.
Seeking God—there is no greater adventure!
WHAT: God Everywhere Photography Adventure is a one week photography experience seeking God with our eyes, hearts and cameras. Any camera is fine including your cell phones! LAUNCH
EVENT: Professional photographer Tom Sperduto (www.tomsperduto.com) will host a faith-based photography presentation and discussion about improving your photography. He will be available all week by phone, text and e-mail to assist you with your pictures.
WHERE: Abounding Grace Ministries , 730 East 12th Street New York, NY 10009, following Sunday church service. You are welcome to attend!
WHEN: Launch Event is Sunday, May 1st at 1:00pm.
HOW: Participants will upload their images to the God Everywhere Photography Adventure Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GodEverywherePhotography/) between May 01– May 09. There will be a closing reception Saturday, May 14th at 6:00 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided. There will be a slideshow of each person’s chosen work and each participant will receive a print of his or her best chosen image. One photographer who captures the theme “God Everywhere” with the most universal impact will receive a Nikon Coolpix S7000 Digital Camera valued at $276.95 and a 16X20 print of a photo from their adventure. This awardee will be recognized at the closing reception and asked to discuss their experience if willing to do so.
WHO: You do NOT need to attend church service to be a seeker in this event. All are welcome!
